Before we moved to Phoenix, I taught ESL (English as Second Language) with students from 37 different countries, but many of them were from Somalia. Columbus has the 2nd largest population in the United States. Many of my students lived through the war in Somalia, had lost most of their family, and were also refugees in Kenya before coming to the U.S. The trauma they have already been through is incomprehensible and I could tell you stories that would break your hearts. Many of them still have family there who are starving.

We are so blessed and take so much for granted!! We were only there for a few hours and packed enough food for almost 10,000 meals! Most importantly, these people know when relief comes it is usually from christians and it may seem small, but God is using it!!!!!
