CURRICULUM REVIEW
Each ministry will submit information with instructions on how their ministry's materials can be reviewed.
JOY Ministry
The "Dust to Glory" study with Dr. R.C. Sproul will conclude in mid-November at which time the senior adults will begin a study theme "Lifeventures" produced by Lifeway. The focus of the study will be on equipping our senior adults to meet expanding ministry opportunities in our communities.
Relevant for Retired Adults
It's a time of reflection upon life, but most importantly a time to look forward to all God has planned for retired adults now. Life Ventures challenges a generation already full of life's experiences to discover new ones in their service to the Lord, and to pass on to younger generations the legacy of their faith.
The Life Ventures Leader Guide engages senior adults to grow in Bible knowledge and understanding, reinforcing godly values and Christlike excellence. In this leader guide you'll find:
- A single, step-by-step teaching plan that includes preparation notes, outline-based discussion prompts, and ideas to help leaders continue engaging with their students during the week
- In-depth Bible commentary for each lesson's Scripture passage
- The traditional King James Version Scripture passage alongside the Holman CSB¨ for convenient comparison
- Helpful leadership articles
- Personal Bible study that encourages spiritual growth
The Life Ventures Learner Guide seeks to equip, encourage, and minister to Bible students in their retirement years, motivating them to share their valuable experiences with younger generations. Included are:
- Weekly studies in large, readable type
- Informative Bible commentary and word studies for digging deeper
- The traditional KJV Scripture passage alongside the Holman CSB for convenient comparison
- Interactive activities that enhance advance preparation and the in-class experience
- A "reflection" segment that challenges learners to apply the truths of each lesson

Esther: It's Tough Being a Woman
The Old Testament story of Esther is a profile in courage and contains many modern parallels for today's woman. Going up against heavyweights bent on her destruction, Esther trusted God and landed a blow that saved her people.
Join Beth Moore in an in-depth and very personal examination of this great story of threat and deliverance. She peels back the layers of history and shows how very contemporary and applicable the story of Esther is to our lives. If you've ever felt inadequate, threatened, or pushed into situations that seemed overpowering, this is the study for you. Just as it was tough being a woman in Esther's day, it's tough today. This portion of God's Word contains treasures to aid us in our hurried, harried, and pressured lives.
Author: Beth Moore
Workbook Cost: $16.00
