You are invited to spend Easter Sunday with us at Foothills Baptist Church. For the Christian, there is not a more important moment in history than the resurrection of Jesus Christ; today is all about celebrating that moment.
Why We Celebrate Easter
After approximately three years of public service, performing miracles and teaching thousands about God, Jesus was crucified. All great revolutionaries have died, and while Jesus died, He is different from all the others. The Bible teaches, and we believe, that after His death Jesus was placed in a tomb, a stone was rolled in front of the opening, a Roman seal was put on that stone and a soldier was placed there to guard the tomb. Yet despite all these measures to keep Jesus in the tomb, He was resurrected, alive again.
This is why we celebrate Easter. Jesus did not remain dead, to this day He is alive.
Details for Your Visit With Us
We have two identical services for you to choose from. One at 9:00 am and a second at 10:45 am. Please arrive 10 minutes early and park in the Guest parking provided at the front entrance to the Worship Center.
If you have children, it’s best to arrive 15 minutes early in order to get them settled in their groups.
Your children, ages Birth-5th grade can be dropped off in our preschool & children buildings. Our staff will care for them and lead them in age-appropriate activities. When you arrive on campus, greeters, and signs will show you the way to these facilities where you will check in your child/ren with our volunteers.
Following Worship, you will pick up your preschoolers/children in the same space where they were checked-in.
What You Can Expect During Your Visit
As you are welcomed into the Worship Center, you will receive a program and communication card. Feel free to sit wherever you like.
During worship we will stand and sing – words to the songs will be on the screens. There will be prayer by one of our Pastors, an offering (please do not feel pressure to participate, Foothills is supported by the tithes and offerings of the members and regular attenders), music performed by the choir and orchestra and a Pastor will teach on how the resurrection of Jesus makes a difference in our lives.
As our Guest, you will not be singled out. We’re just glad you came. When you are ready, feel free to take the next step to connect with us. And by the way, dress as you feel appropriate.
If, after your visit, you want to know more about what it means to be a Christian or how to connect with Foothills, simply complete the communication card and drop it at Guest Services, or write an email to any of the ministry staff. We will be happy to answer any questions you have and serve you in any way you indicate.
We hope that you will join us! If you have any questions prior to your visit with us on Easter Sunday please contact Penny Wilson, email@example.com.
