Dear Church family,

With great joy, on Sunday, August 18, we were able to announce that we now have a candidate for the role of Lead Elder. We are eager to announce the name of that candidate next Sunday, August 25, in both morning worship services.

Per our By Laws, our Lead Elder Search Team, affirmed by the church in May, formed and set out a process for their work. When they believed God had led them to the candidate, they passed their recommendation and work on to the Elder Team. The Elder Team has also interviewed the candidate.

During this season we have immersed ourselves in prayer and experienced and witnessed the work of the Holy Spirit both in our lives and in the life of the candidate. We are ready to enthusiastically introduce this man to the church.

Before we lay out the remainder of the process allow us to thank you for praying for both teams as they went about this important work. We also want to thank you for praying that we as a church would be ready to receive the man we believe God is calling as our next Lead Elder.

The remainder of the process will be:

Sunday, August 25: Lead Elder Candidate will be announced to the Church in both worship hours.

Monday, August 26, 7:00 pm: Q&A session for the church family with the candidate in the Fellowship Hall.

Sunday, September 8, 1:30 pm: Q&A session for the church family with the candidate in the Fellowship Hall.

Sunday, September 15: the candidate will preach, and the Church will vote to affirm the candidate for Lead Elder following both worship hours.

Sunday, September 22: Lord willing, the new Lead Elder will be installed during worship.

In addition to the two Q&A sessions for the church family at large, our Foothills Group Leaders, Deacons and their spouses have been invited to an additional session.

Finally, please keep in mind that the process is not finished. Please continue to pray with us as we walk together through this next step.
