Prayer is a crucial part of your Christian walk. It is during these times when you seek God that you are able to build a stronger relationship with Him. When you pray, God listens. When you pray, God speaks to you. When you pray, God answers.
Prayer is powerful and for that reason, we encourage you to pray. Specifically, we want you to pray for our church. If you have ever wondered how you could be praying for your Foothills family, I have put together a few requests I would love to ask you to pray for.
As we transition from Summertime to the start of school in our community, and the kick-off of our weekday ministries at Foothills spend some time praying this way:
- That as you meet new friends in your neighborhood or your child’s school, pray that you would take initiative to engage people to put Jesus first for the sake of others by inviting them to your home, or out for coffee. Matt. 28:19-20; Matt. 22:36-40
- That you would gather with your brothers and sisters for Worship each week to hear God’s Word preached, to affirm our common faith by singing together, praying together and giving together. Eph. 5:18-21
- That the Father would use your participation in a Group each week to enable you to “stir up one another to love and good works…and encourage one another.” Heb. 10:24-25
- That you would follow the example of Jesus by serving others and that the Father would use your ministry to encourage others to trust in Jesus more and more every day. Mark 10:45
