In Exodus, God gives his people His 10 Commandments. They are his blood-bought people. They belong to Him. He has saved them, and now He means to sanctify them. He has taken them out of Egypt, now He means to get Egypt out of them. In this text we see that God loves when His redeemed people expectantly gather to receive His word to obey it. We see the life that fully loves God, the life that truly loves others, and ultimately, we see the LIFE that fulfills them all.
