Joshua 22-24 captures the last words of Joshua for God’s people. In each chapter, he summons a different group of people to listen to him. In Joshua 23, he summons the leaders of the nation and gives them two charges and one warning:
Don’t forget – V1-5
Don’t defect – V6-11
Don’t be surprised – V12-16
