In John chapter 14, Jesus is no longer teaching the crowds, doing miracles, or debating the religious leaders. He’s dealing with the troubled hearts of His disciples. He’s preparing them for His departure so He teaches them loving obedience is the way to continue following Him, even in trouble, and then He promises to give them all the help they will need through the gift of the Holy Spirit.
