Money is a sensitive subject in church. But we’re just pretending if we try to avoid it. So many of our concerns, difficulties, and complexities in life are related to money. And even deeper, it would be unfaithful to try and avoid talking about money when the Bible has so very much to say about it in the OT and the NT.
In this text Paul encourages the believers to become generous givers by reminding them of God’s grace at work for them, the confidence they can have in Him to supply their needs always, and the impact their generous giving can have, both physically and spiritually.
You will never experience any significant growth in your spiritual maturity unless you put all your money and what you believe about it in God’s hands.
