Matthew 11-12 show us how different people respond to Jesus. From John the Batpist in prison, struggling with questions about Jesus’ identity, to unrepentant cities who had witnessed Jesus’ mighty deeds, to the conflict that spills over in chapter 12 between the Scribes and Pharisees and Jesus. In our text today, we see three main responses to Jesus and the consequences for each. The framework for the text is this: The Danger of Denial V38-42; The Futility of Empty Religion V43-45; The Need for True Faith V46-50.

Scripture: Matt. 12:38-50
