30x in Daniel chapter 2 we find words like: reveal, show, or make known. That tells us what the chapter is about. The God of heaven, Daniel’s God is a revealer of mysteries. He sets up kings and removes kings. And God in this chapter God reveals his word for the world, and for his people. First, that Nebuchadnezzar rules by divine right; that his kingdom will pass away and those that follow will be inferior; but ultimately, all human kingdoms by the coming of his eternal Kingdom signified through a stone that will crush some and give life to others.
