The church functions best when pastors shepherd with willing hearts, right motives, and humble examples rather than domineering authority. Church members are called to submit to godly leadership while supporting their pastors through prayer, encouragement, and holy living. The key to healthy church relationships is humility – both leaders and members must clothe themselves with humility toward one another. When pastors serve faithfully like Jesus and members follow willingly, God gives grace to the humble and creates an environment where faith can grow and the Gospel can reach others.
