Paul urges the believers to continue living out their faith with reverence and dedication, not only when he’s present but even more in his absence. He calls them to “work out their salvation with fear and trembling,” recognizing that it is God who empowers them to will and act according to His purpose.
As children of God, they are to live blameless and pure lives, shining like stars in a dark world by holding firmly to the word of life. Paul expresses joy in their faithful witness and urges them to rejoice with him, even if his life is poured out in service.
