Life is short and the world increasingly opposes Christian values, but the Apostle Peter provides three essential principles for faithful living. First, we must think like Jesus by training our minds through Scripture, prayer, and fellowship to respond biblically when suffering comes. Second, we must be completely done with sin, abandoning worldly behaviors and expecting opposition from those who don’t understand our transformation. Third, we must live today with eternity in mind, remembering that everyone will give account to God and that for believers, suffering leads to glory. These principles call us to urgency in evangelism and holiness as we live as citizens of God’s kingdom.
