More Than Enough

John opens his gospel describing who Jesus is, and in 1:16 he writes, “And from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.” The miracle of Jesus feeding the 5,000 is a display of that truth. He is the One with an inexhaustible supply of grace for every day and every need, for all of us and the world. And linked to that is Jesus speaking to His disciples in John 20:21, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” In other words, out of His inexhaustible supply, Jesus pours out His grace and truth into our lives, and just as the Father sent Jesus long ago with peace into our deepest sin, shame, and regrets, today Jesus sends us into our world with His never-ending supply of grace and peace!

Jesus, the Son of God has more than enough grace for us and the world. But will we believe it and go with it?
