The episode of Jesus and the Rich Young Ruler illustrates the dangerous influence money can hold over our lives. What we ultimately see is the dangerous influence money holds over him. It’s literally squeezing God out of his life. So, we see that money is dangerous, why it’s spiritually dangerous, and how we can escape the spiritually dangerous influence of money. The final three applications are: Assume you are in denial; look to the Rich Young Ruler; make a plan.
