The Lord rescues and equips His King (and people) to triumph over the enemy in victory. He does this with King David and with more redemptive significance with King Jesus. Those who are in Him, are also rescued from the power of sin and wrath of God and have been sent into the battle to push back the domain of darkness with the Gospel of Light.
