God’s people will meet opposition in the world; people who oppose the encroachment of God upon their lives (Amalekites). God’s people will also be received; people who have been prepared by God to hear what He has accomplished and turn to Him in faith (Jethro). All the while, God uses each and every scenario of opposition and acceptance to sanctify His people in the midst of the world.
God is over His people as they represent Him before the world, and equips them to serve.
