Proverbs 3 calls us to a life of wholehearted trust in God rather than reliance on our own understanding. Solomon, writing under divine inspiration, urges us to keep God’s Word so close that it shapes our character and every decision we make. Trusting God is not about trusting Him perfectly. It is about choosing not to consciously lean on our own reasoning when His wisdom is available to us. When we acknowledge Him in all our ways, He promises to make our paths straight. Walking humbly before God means recognizing that He is sovereign, giving Him the reverence He deserves, and turning away from evil. The wisdom that Proverbs describes finds its fullest expression in Jesus Christ, who is not merely a teacher of wisdom but wisdom itself. The path forward is not found in more planning or self-confidence. It is found in trusting the One who already knows the way.
