Life rarely goes according to plan, and Ecclesiastes 3 speaks directly into that reality. Written by King Solomon, this passage reminds us that there is a season for everything under heaven, and we do not always get to choose which season we are in. What we do get to choose is how we faithfully meet the season we are currently living. When we cannot figure out tomorrow, the wisest response is to receive today as a gift from God’s hand. God sees the full picture even when we can only see the back of the tapestry. Justice is coming, and nothing has been forgotten or abandoned. Jesus entered time, experienced every season of human life, and conquered death so that we do not have to face it alone. You cannot manage time, but you can trust the God who holds it.
