Wisdom to Trust the Father

Two moments reveal what we truly believe about God: when He asks for our money and when He allows us to suffer. Proverbs 3:9-12 calls us to honor God with our wealth by giving Him our first and best, not our leftovers. It also reminds us that God’s discipline is never punishment but always renovation, the work of a Father who loves us too much to leave us where we are. Because God has already given us His first and His best in Jesus Christ, we can trust Him completely with our finances and our pain. When we give generously, we invest in an eternal kingdom that will outlive us. When we suffer, we are being shaped into the image of Christ by a Father who delights in us. The cross has already answered the deepest question any of us could ask: Does God love me? None of it is wasted.
