A Glorious Announcement and a Response

Do you ever feel as if you’ve become too familiar with the Christmas narrative that it doesn’t amaze you? Let’s walk through Luke 1:26-38 together and read the glorious announcement God makes to Mary and her response. What was part of this announcement? God was coming to dwell with man, through the womb of Mary! Wow!

What marks the church? Preaching of the gospel, discipline, baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Additionally, when you look at the very beginning of the church you see a care and commitment to help those who were defenseless and vulnerable. In this passage we’ll see how God wants us to care take of one another.

Instructions on How to Worship Jesus in His Church

There is beauty in order. There is wisdom in order. We see God’s wisdom and beauty in His design of men and women. Paul, in this section, is highlighting an expectation that the church be free from division. Today, we’re going to look at the role of men and women in public worship.
