Contentment is a feeling or showing satisfaction with one’s possessions, status or situation. The word literally means, “self-sufficiency” but not being independent in terms of not needing God; it’s a trust and a joy that is in God. For many of us, we find our contentment in earthly riches, pursuits, relationships, etc. Let’s look at 1 Timothy 6:17-21 to see where our contentment and hope is to be found.
