Humility, as demonstrated by Jesus, is the choice to forgo status and withhold power for the good of others. The path to unity for any church or relationship is through humility.

If Jesus can _________, then I can _______.

• If Jesus can forgive the men who humiliated him in front of his mom and friends, then I can forgive those who have offended me.
• If Jesus can give his whole life to the Father’s mission on earth, then I can die to selfish ambition and dreams of temporary riches and security and pursue the spread of the gospel to all the nations.

In the incarnation, Jesus didn’t stop halfway in pursuing humility, and neither should we.
