At Foothills we’ve identified 5 Marks of a Disciple, and one of those is I live sent. And with that statement, we ask ourselves, “How am I living as a sent-one where God has placed me?” The implication is that wherever I am, at home, at work, at school, in the neighborhood, on the team, God has placed me there as salt and light, as his witness, as his disciple-maker. And the greater implication is that living sent doesn’t start with me, but with God and his sovereign purposes in the world. And the Bible gives us the story of God redeeming the world in four movements, from the OT to the NT, and as followers of Jesus, we are part of that story.
