A Day Like No Other

If Joshua 10 were used as a screenplay for a major motion picture, it would likely be more violent than you would want to view. At the same time, this text offers far more hope than the best feel-good movie ever could.

We look at this text under three simple headings:
What’s happening here – Conquest; God giving His people the land, His people taking their inheritance.

What’s the point: to fearlessly face the world, the flesh, and the devil, trusting God who’s kept His promise to bring us into our inheritance by defeating evil – forever!

How Should We Respond: pray that God would move heaven and earth to help us; put your foot on the neck of the enemy until God crushes him under your feet for good; put away your self-reliance and put your faith in Christ for salvation now and forever.

Scripture: Joshua 10; Genesis 1:14-19; Habakkuk 3; Ephesians 6; Proverbs 4:23; Matthew 7; John 14, 15, 16; James 5:17-18; Psalm 91:5; Genesis 3:15; 1 Corinthians 15:25-27; 1 John 4:4
