In Daniel, chapters 1, 2, 3, and 4 we see God dealing with the ruler of the Babylonian empire, Nebuchadnezzar. Over and over God demonstrates his sovereign rule over the kingdoms of men, and particularly over Nebuchadnezzar; his power, and his gods. In chapter 4, God’s work in the King’s life comes to a head, and in this chapter we see the kindess and severity of God to humble us entirely and save us completely for our own good, and His glory in all the world!
