John 9 is not just another story, it’s another proof John builds into his gospel to persuade us to believe in Jesus as the Son of God, in whom there is life.

In John 9, Jesus gives sight to a man born blind, something God promised the Messiah would do when He brought in His kingdom. But even more, Jesus gives this man spiritual sight. In the end, the Jewish religious leaders, who think they know and believe they see are shown to be blind, and the blind man sees the light, and his life is forever changed.

Scripture: John 9, 8:12; Isaiah 35, 42; Psalm 146; Matthew 12; Ephesians 5; James 4
